The WFP Walk the World is a charity event that was launched in 2005 and sees its 12th edition this year. A portion of participation fees will be donated to the World Food Programme (WFP) School Meals Programme, which helps to ensure every child has access to nutrition and education.

Baroque Japan Limited has been a member since 2007 of the highest decision-making body of the Japan Association for the World Food Programme (JAWFP), the JAWFP Council. This is the first time the company is cosponsoring and joining as a corporate participant in the WFP Walk the World.

The UN WFP School Meals Programme
Chronic malnutrition claims the lives of one in four children around the world. Countless children turn up for school on an empty stomach, which makes it hard to focus on lessons. Many simply do not go, as their families need them to help around the house. The WFP delivers school meals to some 20 million children in developing countries each year, helping to ensure sound growth of children, access to education, and eradication of poverty.
