Baroque Japan concluded a comprehensive agreement on industry-academia collaboration with Josai University Educational Corporation on April 11, 2016. It has since worked closely with Josai International University, which focuses on global education, in programs such as internships for students primarily in the Faculty of Management & Information Sciences and the Faculty of Media Studies.

The contest invited students in the Faculty of Management & Information Sciences to present analyses and recommendations for management of the Baroque Japan fashion brand AZUL by moussy or, alternatively, of Baroque Japan.

The presentations represented the candid views and analyses of the students, with minimal input from professors, said Dean Seiichiro Nanai in his address.
This was the first project in which Baroque Japan called for recommendations from students. The company found that every team’s observations and ideas were mature and to the point.
Through further industry-academia collaboration projects with Josai International University, Baroque Japan hopes to create opportunities to spark interest in fashion among young students and re-energize the industry as a whole.
