Creating a Work Environment That is Easy to Work In and Promotes Challenging Yourself

By taking a leap forward through Baroque's fashion brands as representatives of Japanese fashion brands to the world, we will promote the development of human resources so as to provide value to customers across a global stage.

①Promotion of Diversity

BAROQUE is a company with female employees at its core, with many female employees having been appointed to management positions and active across our organization within a variety of fields. As for management positions, female employees make up 46.6% of these roles (as of September 30, 2023). For this reason, we hope to create a workplace environment where women can work easily and that includes efforts to support them across various life events such as childbirth and childcare with promotion of the use of maternity leave before and after childbirth, childcare and nursing care leave, and shorter working hours for those in childcare. Additionally, not just at our Tokyo main office, but across our group’s overseas companies, we are openly hiring regardless of nationality or gender. Through active promotion and implementation of training programs and engaging in exchange events, we hope to truly transcend national borders so as to develop human resources who will be active on a global scale.

②Developing a Remote Work Environment

So as to establish a ‘workstyle resilient to changes in the external environment’ and improve employee engagement and productivity, as of March 1, 2021 we have introduced a ‘Remote Work System’.

Purpose of Introducing this System

  • By enabling employees to work without limiting their work office to the head office, this system makes it easier for employees raising children or caring for family members.
  • By reducing commuting time, employees can make effective use of their time and spend more time outside of work, creating an enriching work-life balance.
  • Through this system we will be able to respond quickly and flexibly to the effects of infectious diseases, earthquakes, and heavy rain.

③Approach to Wellness

BAROQUE’s wellness, while including health management, also includes various initiatives that approach how being a member of BAROQUE can add value to your life. Some of these initiatives include physician counseling, external general health consultation services, regular health check ups, and access to external gyms through a system established in cooperation with sports clubs. In addition, so as to promote improving their skills and self-development, we have also established a system that allows employees to take correspondence training courses run by the Japan Institute of Industrial Management. (Part of the cost borne by employee)
